വീട്ടിലെ ചിക്കനും മട്ടനും വിടപറഞ്ഞിട്ടാദ്യാവും ഞാനിത്ര ബല്ല്യൊരു ബലിപെരുന്നളിലൂടെ കടന്നുപോയത്. ജാതിയുടെ,മതങ്ങളുടെ  കൊടിമരങ്ങൾ നിറഞ്ഞുതുള്ളുന്ന യുദ്ധഭൂമിയിലൊരു ഈദ്ഖാഹ് നമസ്ക്കാരം.  വിരലിലെണ്ണാവുന്ന മുസ്ലിങ്ങ് പള്ളികളെ ഇന്നിവിടം നിലവിലുള്ളു,  മറ്റുള്ളവയെല്ലാം തകർക്കപെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു, കയ്യടക്കപെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു. മുനാരങ്ങൾ കണ്ടാലറിയാം പല പള്ളികളും ഇന്ന് ശീവക്ഷേത്രങ്ങളാക്കപെട്ടതാണെന്ന്. അക്രമ രാഷ്ട്രീയം കണ്ട് മനം മടുത്താണ് കേരളത്തോട് ഞാനന്ന് യാത്ര പറഞ്ഞത്,  'പന്തം പേടിച്ച് പന്തളത്ത് പോയപ്പൊ അവിടാകെ  പന്തംകൊളത്തിപട എന്ന് പണ്ടാരോ പറഞ്ഞപോലായിവിടെ'. അതിലും ഭയാനകം, ചില പള്ളികളിലെല്ലാം  ചപ്പു ചവറുകൾ, വിസർജ്ജ്യ വസ്ഥുകൾകൊണ്ട് നിറച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു, മക്ക്ബരകൾ പൊളിച്ച് തകർപ്പണമാക്കി ജാതികൊടികൾ  കുത്തപെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു.
                                                        തോപ്പിയിട്ട് തെരുവിലൂടെ നടക്കാൻ ഓരോ മുസ്ലിമും ഭയക്കുന്നു, എന്നിട്ടും ആയിരങ്ങൾ പങ്കെടുത്തൊരു  ഇമ്മിണി വല്ല്യരു  ഈദ്ഖാഹ് .....     നിസ്ക്കാരം കഴിഞ്ഞപ്പോയേക്കും  ഭിക്ഷാടന സ്ത്രീകളെകൊണ്ടും കുട്ടികളെകൊണ്ടും വഴിയോരങ്ങൾ നിറഞ്ഞിരുന്നു. ഒന്നോ രണ്ടോ ഒന്നുമല്ല, നൂറിനടുത്ത് വരും, എല്ലാം മുൻകൂട്ടികണ്ട് കീശയിൽ ചില്ലറയുമായിട്ടാണ് പലരും വന്നിരുന്നത്, ചിലർ രണ്ട് രൂപ നോട്ടുകളുടെ ശേഖരംകൊണ്ടും.  എല്ലാവർക്കും നൽകാനാവില്ല എന്നറിയാം,എങ്കിലും ആ പണം കഴിയുന്നത് വരെ ഭിക്ഷാടകർക്കങ്ങനെ അവർ നൽകികൊണ്ടിരുന്നു. ഞാനൊരണാ പൈസ ആര്ക്കും നൽകിയില്ല, എനിക്കീ അധ്വനിക്കാത്ത ബിസിനസ്സിനോടൊ ബിസിനസ്സുക്കാരോടൊ ഒട്ടും താൽപര്യം തോന്നാറില്ല, വിയർപ്പിന്റെ പണം നൽകാം , ഇതോ .....!     അരുത് .. ഭിക്ഷാടനം ആരും പ്രോത്സാഹിപ്പിക്കരുത്, കാരണം ആരോഗ്യവും ബുദ്ധിയും ദൈവം നൽകിയിരിക്കുന്നത്  അധ്വാനിച്ച് ജീവിക്കാനാണ്.
                                                ഹരിയാനയിൽ വന്നെപിന്നെ ചിക്കാൻ ഒരു സ്വപ്നം മാത്രാണ്, ചിക്കാൻ തിരഞ്ഞുതന്നെയായിരുന്നു അടുത്ത യാത്ര. ചിക്കനും പച്ചരി കൊണ്ടൊരു നൈച്ചോരും....... പെരുന്നാളിന്റെ ഭക്ഷണം കുശാലായി ... പരസ്പരം സഹായിച്ചും സ്വന്തം സ്വന്തം സ്വന്തമായി എല്ലാരും കൂടി പാകം ചെയ്തത് കൊണ്ടാവാം ചിക്കാൻ കറിക്കും നൈച്ചോരിനും നല്ല മുഹബത്തിന്റെ സ്വാതും ആവോളം ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു, ആ മുഹബത്തിന്റെ ഇമ്മിണി   ബല്ല്യ  ബലിപെരുന്നാൾ ആാസ്വതിച്ചാണ് ഞങ്ങ പത്ത് ഹരിയാനൻ മലയാളി പിള്ളേരു ഭക്ഷണം കഴിച്ചതും....

      Demands ban on vegetables on Eid

     Jant,pali : The government’s ban on beef in various parts of the country has rattled Muslims across quarters, but one man has offered a counter-response that is grabbing eyeballs on social media - he has launched a petition demanding a ban on vegetables on Bakr-Eid.

“As a Muslim, I'd like to call for a ban across the country on vegetables of all kinds of Bakr-Eid (September 25,2015). Because plants have feelings too”, says the petition drafted by Bengaluru based filmmaker Falah Faisal on change.org.

In his petition, Falah argues that if Muslims can fast for a month, then vegetarians could do it for a day. “If you are someone who is a vegetarian who doesn't eat anything but the offshoot of plants, I bet you can starve for a day. Fasting is good for you. We do it for a month every year”.As on Thursday, the petition has received 1148 endorsements and needs only 352 more people to sign it to reach its goal.

Surprisingly, a few vegetarians are also supporting his cause and feel that the beef ban imposed by the government is against the spirit of democracy and encroaches on personal freedom.

“Although being a pure vegetarian, I am signing this petition because I am of the view that the recent meat ban imposed by the Government is totally uncalled for and represents injustice”, said a supporter of the petition from Mumbai.But unlike the hardliners behind the beef ban, Falah is not rigid about his demand for the ban on vegetables, he is willing to bend a little on one condition – that vegetarians eat mutton biryani on Eid – which he feels is reasonable enough.

          Hariyana clears the air on meat                          Ban.

  Jant,pali : Responding to report a meat ban being Imposed in Hariyana, on the lines of Maharashtra and Anthrapradesh on account of the jain Festival "paryushan paerva ", the state Government clarified on Saturday that only and appeal had been made to shut slaughter houses and not Kill animals during the Festival period. The Festival is being celebrated from September11 to 19 this year.

                  In a Press statement, the Hariyana Government sought to clear the air saying that no Ban was Imposed. Only 2 Routine appeal for made to those in the meat business. This was met with strong opposition  from the owners of slaughter houses,  who staged a demonstration on Friday demanding Immediate withdrawer of the Order.

Headline writing process: news, features 

·        Be quick, but don’t hurry. Don’t allow the goal of “pushing pages” before deadline to short-circuit the need to write accurate, clear, tasteful headlines.  Remember: readers start here.

• Understand the news peg or feature angle. 
• Use the Key Word system: select key words from story (but don’t parrot lead). Select words that reflect the central theme of the article. 
• For news heads: play it straight, summarize the news. 
• For feature heads: be creative. Tease, flirt, hint - but don’t give away lead. 
• In feature heads, use freshened clichés, creative puns, twists of ad slogans, well-known sayings. 
• Highlight intrigue, contrast or conflict within central theme, using key words. 
• Avoid lazy headline writing. Don’t settle for your first try, then change type size to make it fit. 
• Don’t fall in love with your own cute, creative puns. The challenge: rewrite and make it better. 
• Seek the input of others: How can the headline be misread? Does it work? 
• Listen to the lone ranger: honer the courage of one brave soul who objects.  One person who doesn't “get it” now represents thousands who won’t get it later.

     Banner Headline

• The journalism industry is highly competitive, and attracting the attention of the readers, viewers or listeners is the most important thing. The audience should have a reason for choosing a particular newspaper, television channel or radio station. Headlines play an important role in attracting attention, especially in print media. Banner headlines are words printed in extra large letters across the top of the front page of the newspaper on extremely important stories; they are not used frequently, but when they are used, they have significant impact.

             Banner headlines are attention grabbers. They set the tone, and are used sparingly. A classic banner headline has three key characteristics.

1. Magnitude
     It is written only for those events that can be considered “earth shaking” such as the sudden fall of government; a natural calamity that claims hundreds of lives; a scientific breakthrough that can change the course of mankind; an act of criminal violence that shakes the conscience of the nation; a court judgement that can reshape the country’s polity. It is for the newspaper editor to assess the magnitude of the event before giving the green signal to run the banner.

2. Display
A banner headline is run across eight columns, and placed on top of the front page of the newspaper. It is set in the highest point size that the newspaper style permits. No other headline on the front page is written in a point size bigger than the banner headline. There was a time when the banner headline was set only in capital letters. This made the headline stand out. It is not so today. Newspapers today run banners in the upper lower format too.

3. Usage
The banner headline is used rarely. There is great sanctity attached to the significance of a banner headline. The editors realise that they will dilute the importance of banner headlines if they use it too often. They therefore reserve it “for the rarest of the rare” stories.

Flush Left Headline

This is one of the more modern headline forms in use. It consists of two or three lines of headline, each one set flush left to the left side of the space. The design is simple and allows freedom in writing the headline. No rules govern the writing of the flush left headline; however a uniform style for better results is generally adopted. This type of headline is popular because it is easy to write, allows flexibility in unit count and provides a feeling of airiness to the page with the white space.

Cross-Line Headline

• The cross-line headline is quite similar to a banner headline. While it is a large headline, it does not span the entire width of the page, but it does run across all the columns of the story it pertains to. The cross-line headline is one of the simplest types of headlines, consisting of a single line and one or most often more columns in width. It can run flush on both sides of the paper or it can have the words centered over the columns. This type of headline is generally used when there is more than one column for a story and to produce a formal look.

Inverted Pyramid Headline

• There are distinct advantages to using the inverted pyramid headline style for news writing. People often are in a rush and seldom have time to read every word of a story. The advantage of the inverted pyramid headline is that it concentrates on presenting pertinent facts first. With inverted pyramid stories, the most important information goes in the first paragraph, and the less important information follows to the very end of the story.

   The inverted pyramid headline generally consists of three lines -- the first runs across the column and the other two lines are shorter than the first line. The headline is created from the informative facts presented at the start of the story, giving the reader the most important points quickly.

                      Love is the most wonderful feeling in the world. However, I wish when I was younger that I didn't try so hard to fall in love. I wanted to be in love so much when I was young, that I probably misunderstood the affections that were given to me by some great guys who just wanted to have a nice girlfriend, and didn't want to think about forever just yet.
